CruiseIQ is currently a pre-launch waitlist. This page explains what little data we collect at this stage, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
CruiseIQ ("we", "us") is an independent cruise market-intelligence project based in Portugal, currently in pre-launch. We are not a cruise line or travel agency, and this policy covers only the data collected through this waitlist page.
The data controller responsible for your personal data is Diogo Atalaia, Setúbal, Portugal. You can reach us about anything in this policy at geral@cruiseiq.eu.
When you join the waitlist, we collect:
Alongside your answers we record which of the two sign-up forms on the page you used and in which language (Portuguese, Spanish or English), when you signed up and when you confirmed your email address.
We do not ask for your name, payment details, or any other personal information on this page. We do not currently use tracking or advertising cookies.
We use your email address solely to:
We will never sell your email address, and we don't share it with cruise lines, advertisers, or any third party for marketing purposes.
Under the GDPR, we process your email address on the basis of your consent. After you submit the waitlist form we send you a single email asking you to confirm (double opt-in); you only join the waitlist once you click the confirmation link. If you don't confirm, you won't be added and we won't email you again.
You can withdraw your consent at any time with the unsubscribe link included in every email we send, or by writing to us (see Section 7).
The waitlist is kept in Brevo, an email platform based in France, in an account only we can access. Brevo also sends the confirmation email and any later updates, and handles unsubscribe requests. We do not use this data for any purpose beyond what's described in Section 3, and we apply reasonable technical measures to keep it secure.
We rely on a small number of service providers to run this site, who process data only on our behalf: Brevo (waitlist storage and emails to the list), Netlify (website hosting; it passes your sign-up on to Brevo without keeping it, and may log visitors' IP addresses for security and delivery) and Zoho (our email provider, for any messages you send us). Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, it does so under safeguards recognised by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep waitlist data until CruiseIQ launches and you've had the chance to convert to a full account, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If the project is discontinued before launch, we will delete all waitlist data.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email us at geral@cruiseiq.eu and we'll respond within 30 days.
CruiseIQ is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
As CruiseIQ moves from waitlist to a full product, this policy will be updated to reflect new features (accounts, alerts, payments). We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever that happens.
